ON-DEMAND INTERACTIVE LEARNING™ 3.0
Offers Real-Time Learning at the Desktop

King of Prussia, PA -- PTS Learning Systems releases On-Demand Interactive Learning™ 3.0, the newest version of the industry's only desktop learning software that allows users to learn while working within their live application, announced Michael Levinson, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of PTS.
___"On-Demand 3.0 is the solution to companies' continued search for ways to reduce support costs and increase productivity at the desktop," said Levinson. "Its unique real-time learning feature puts On-Demand way out in front of all the other computer-based learning products on the market."
___On-Demand Interactive Learning lets users learn while working with their actual data within their live application. With one click of the mouse, users can access a list of training topics from which to choose. Upon selecting a topic, users are immediately provided with information about a specific topic and guided through the necessary steps to perform the task. This results in users learning skills as needed without ever leaving their desk or application.
___On-Demand 3.0 is fully context-sensitive and presents the user with a targeted number of learning topics based on the context of the activity being performed. New features of On-Demand 3.0 include:
  • a newly designed graphical interface.
  • an improved Key Word Search function.
  • InfoBlocks™ that provide notes, tips, warning and conceptual learning through pop-up windows.
  • Glossary items that use hypertext to provide a definition of a term.
___On-Demand 3.0 offers three learning modes including: Concurrent Mode which lets users learn and accomplish their work at the same time; Teacher Mode which provides learning via a simulation of the activity; and Demo Mode which presents a demonstration of the topic, allowing the user to simply watch to learn the correct steps.
___"The greatest benefit of On-Demand's 'real-time' learning is its ability to simultaneously close a gap in users' skills while completing their work," said Pat Roberts, President and co-founder of PTS. "On-Demand is so effective for some of our customers that it has become a 'virtual' help desk." PTS reports that On-Demand can be used as a method of post-training reinforcement that eliminates up to 40 percent of a company's help desk calls.
___On-Demand can be installed on a company's network server, at the desktop or through an Internet version available this summer.
___PTS will begin shipping On-Demand Interactive Learning 3.0 in mid-May for all popular software applications as well as custom and proprietary applications. On-Demand works with all major operating systems, including: Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51, and Windows NT 4.0.
